For me, being outdoors is important because I get to appreciate nature and it’s also my time to recharge. It’s easy for me to get caught up in the nitty gritty aspects of everyday life, and sometimes I need to remember that calming space is all around me. Whether it’s just going out and walking around the neighbourhood or finding a trail near or far, it’s so easy to find yourself immersed in nature of some sort.
Autumn is especially fantastic because the beauty of the fall colours is spectacular. Where I live, the changing colours abounds everywhere, whether I am walking along a trail or driving along the highway; either way, it stops me in my tracks every time.
If I’m feeling stressed or even just antsy, going for a walk outside is my best bet to calm myself. When I actually stop and appreciate the beauty around me, it makes me realize how lucky I truly am.
